A patented JBL 2408H-2 1.5" compression driver with poly-annular diaphragm and neodymium magnet provides clear, detailed high-frequency response even at maximum volume. High-quality NTC thermistors protect transducers by reducing power sent to transducers when approaching thermal limit. PRX900 systems effortlessly support large performance spaces with high power and performance needs. Driven by a highly efficient 2000W (peak) Class-D power amp, PRX912 provides acoustic clarity and definition with minimal power compression, even at maximum volume. A bridged woofer amp keeps current spikes out of the ground and lowers crosstalk harmonics to the compression driver, and a power factor correction (PFC) power supply stabilizes voltage load sent to the amplifier. High-quality, high-linearity inductors deliver high power efficiency and low total harmonic distortion, and low-noise, low-distortion input gain staging optimizes range and headroom for diverse gain requirements. A high-quality DAC and ADC provide near lossless audio conversion. And with a full-bandwidth CMRR (Common Mode Rejection Ratio) greater than 55 dB and THD (total harmonic distortion) rating of <32 dB, system noise is virtually nonexistent.

The app provides full access to the PRX900 Series' DSP package, and users can easily mute channels and speakers with the touch of a button and can change speaker names and flash all unit LEDs for ease of speaker identification. App-exclusive features include speaker snapshots and groupings.
